You want to do AEF ISO compatible
data logging but not all of your
implements are ISOBUS equipped devices?
That should no longer be an obstacle. In
fact, thanks to farmCounter and Hansenhof beacon scanner (HBS), you can already
start this season to work more
sustainably by integrating devices
without ISOBUS into your intelligent
farm management and information system (FMIS).
The farmCounter will use an ultra low
power, high performance, 3-axis nano
accelerometer and several digital I/O to track time, state, movements
and even counts defined events. All
collected data is stored on the large
internal memory. It then advertises its
data collection and services wirelessly
over-the-air - compatible receivers such
as smartphones tablets or in this
showcase the Hansenhof beacon scanner (HBS).
The scanner - as soon as connected to the
farmCounter - starts to either read out
the history from the counter's memory or
receives processed data in live
observation mode. After receiving data
packages, the scanner parses what he
received and processes into an ISO
compatible data structure. Since all the
relevant information are now already in
ISO format at the tractor, the
collected information can be injected
into your available ISOBUS workflow. The
data can be handed off to a Hansenhof
farmBox, Easy- or Mini-Log via RS-232, or
you can send plain PGNs / CAN-Messages
But what kind of data can be tracked you
might ask?
While depending on movement inclination
and several digital IO, the Hansenhof
farmCounter can track workstates like
"active field work" or "inactive field
state". As soon as you drive back to the
farm, the "street state" will be
recognized. A second module extends the
solution by providing information about
time, distance and area. Using IO signals,
the device measures how far it has been
driven and calculates totals even for
worked areas. Being a low-energy device,
the farmCounter can do its job for many
months - non-stop - with only one single pair
of AA batteries.
The user interface is completely
outsourced to smartphones and tablets.
But there is still more. Using apps, you
can define a list of actions that would
make-up a whole work-process. By sending
this digital description of a work
schedule, the farmCounter will start
looking for exactly this pattern and
will increment a so called event-counter
every time the pattern occurs. Isn't that
